Michele Lorusso (Puerto Vallarta, 1994) explora el potencial discursivo del espejo, abordando tanto en su dimensión material como simbólica. Para él, este objeto se convierte en una herramienta que le posibilita especular y visualizar narrativas relacionadas con la identidad, la dualidad, el futuro y la memoria. Su práctica artística se centra en la creación de espacios, dispositivos y momentos de confrontación, catarsis y reflexión, tanto a nivel individual como colectivo, utilizando diversas tácticas, como ejercicios de escritura e imaginación. Lorusso se interesa especialmente por el lenguaje poético, que se manifiesta en sus obras a través de instalaciones, esculturas, fotografías y performances, cuestionando la fragilidad de la existencia al abordar situaciones de crisis colectivas, conflictos afectivos y la subjetividad humana. Sus investigaciones se materializan en proyectos que van desde programas epistolares hasta gráfica expandida, intervenciones públicas, procesos comunitarios y esculturas participativas.
Se gradúa de su maestría (MFA) en CalArts (2025). Estudió Literatura y Creación Literaria en su licenciatura, Casa Lamm (CDMX) y en la Universidad Naropa (Boulder, CO). También estudió fotografía y cine experimental en la Escuela Activa (CDMX) y la Universidad de Colorado.
Fue invitado a ser artista residente en LACMA (enero-agosto de 2025). Ha activado eventos con anonymous gallery en parques públicos en NY, lecturas poéticas en Performance Space NY y ejercicios epistolares al future en bibliotecas, granjas y museos. Es miembro fundador y codirector de VISA PROJECTS, un proyecto y vehículo curatorial para la exhibición de una generación de artistas mexicanos en Estados Unidos. También forma parte del colectivo Grupo Ñ con Sophia Le Fraga y Pedro Verdin, un colectivo de artistes latines del programa de arte MFA de CalArts, 2025. Actualmente, desarrolla un proyecto de arte público en Los Ángeles (California)

Michele Lorusso (Mexico, 1994) explores the discursive potential of the mirror, addressing both its material and symbolic dimensions. For him, this object becomes a tool that allows him to speculate and visualize narratives related to identity, duality, the future and memory. His artistic practice focuses on the creation of spaces, devices and moments of confrontation, catharsis and reflection, both individually and collectively, using various tactics, such as writing and imagination exercises. Lorusso is especially interested in poetic language, which is manifested in his works through installations, sculptures, photographs and performances, questioning the fragility of existence when addressing situations of collective crises, emotional conflicts and human subjectivity. His research materializes in projects that range from epistolary programs to expanded graphics, public interventions, community processes and participatory sculptures.

His artistic practice focuses on the creation of spaces, devices, and moments of confrontation, catharsis and reflection, both individually and collectively, using various tactics, such as writing and imagination exercises or reflective devices. Lorusso is especially interested in poetic language, which is manifested in his works through installations, sculptures, photographs and performances. His research materializes in projects that range from epistolary programs to expanded graphics, public interventions, community processes, participatory sculptures and expanded poetry performances.
He’s graduates from his MFA in CalArts (2025). He studied Literature and Creative Writing during his BFA at Casa Lamm (CDMX) and at Naropa University (Boulder, CO). He also studied photography and experimental filmmaking from the Escuela Activa (CDMX) and the University of Colorado.
He was invited to be an artist-in-residence at LACMA (Jan - Aug, 2025). He has activated happenings with anonymous gallery at public parks in NY, poetic readings at Performance Space NY, future epistolary exercises at libraries, farms and museums. He is a founding member and co-director of VISA PROJECTS, a project or curatorial vehicle for the exhibition of a generation of Mexican artists in the United States. He is also part of a collective called Grupo Ñ with Sophia Le Fraga and Pedro Verdin, an all Latinx artist collective from the graduating CalArts MFA art program of 2025. Currently, he is carrying out a public art project around Los Angeles (CA).
